iPad mini Should my sister get an iPad mini first gen?

best buy has them $200 , she's been wanting buy 1 while now. has iphone 4s believe. needs more of reason not buy 1 other "it's old outdated hardware".
else can tell her? list reasons please.
 

it's not "just" it's outdated hardware, original ipad mini ipad 2 hardware.....which outdated.

sold original mini couple months ago because ios 8 not perform on device @ all. slow , sluggish, , safari won't respond having multiple tabs open.

if she's interested in ipad mini, around deals on mini 2.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
