so 2011 mbp experienced failure in gpu. i'm in market new one. i've been looking @ 2014 mbp iris since want avoid future issues gpu. had history 2008 mbp gpu failing got recalled issue. hopeing 2011 recalled later.

question since plan mbp '14 without gpu, should ok using photoshop, lightroom, , video editing? how autocad?

there mbp in next few months or next ear should hold out for?

if satisfied 2011's model performance in applications, satisfied iris pro - faster old gpu. on more serious note, cpu/memory performance play more significant role here, , both improved 2014 model.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
