Yosemite on MacBook Air 1,1 Early 2008

hi,

has installed yosemite on macbook air 1,1 2008? have prepared usb drive using recent sfott script. usb created , when choose usb @ startup (holding option key), boots os on macbook , not else.

suggestions?

i installed on 2009 mbp. installed on external wd passport ultra 2tb drive , using way. drive usb 3.0 , ports 2.0 install went without hitch. after installation asked me if wanted copy files on internal drive external drive. did , went well. issue having wifi connectivity. else ok.

before installation prepared wd drive 1 partition (journal) using disk utilities

did download yosemite onto internal drive? if select usb drive disk installation.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
