15-inch MacBook Pro Retina recommendation for my usage

sorry thread on i'm looking input of own 15-inch macbook pro retina display. i'm looking @ purchasing 1 of these models in next 2 months (likely towards end of february end of march depending on finances) upgrade 13-inch non-retina mbp, , i'm kind of torn between 2 options.

part, lot of multi-tasking... includes standard stuff web browsing, email, listening music, photography , tend shoot raw i'm editing in adobe lightroom fair amount. bit of technical support stuff , such possibly run couple virtual machines (not @ same time). bit of web design , coding , then.

bit of gaming, although not lot... play starcraft 2 , diablo 3, , tend running @ decent resolution medium/high settings (or higher if possible). how work on retina display in terms of resolution settings? non-retina mbp? happen if use scaled resolution (such 1680x1050 i'm do)?

full list of applications run include safari, firefox, mail, messages, facetime, itunes, imovie, garageband, pages/numbers/keynote, bbedit, lightroom, photoshop, vmware fusion, starcraft 2 , diablo 3. mentioned earlier, multi-task lot it's not uncommon have 5 or 6 of these @ least running in background @ given time.

2 options i'm looking @ are:

• 2.2 ghz / 16 gb ram / 256 gb ssd / iris pro graphics - $2099
• 2.5 ghz / 16 gb ram / 512 gb ssd / iris pro + geforce gt 750m graphics - $2699

cost wise may able either of these apple's certified refurbished store online if still available on there when go purchase, , employer has discount through apple knock $150 off price of each i'm not worried there. 1 best choice usage pattern though experiences?

i'm looking @ least 3 years of solid usage out of computer, it's important right model @ time versus having upgrade in year or two.

well, sure can't go wrong going geforce model looks either should justice. if said editing video regularly , / or outputting hd video display or tv, etc. i'd push more geforce, either rest fine.
