SSD Swap gone wrong

alright, hope i'm in right place, if not, apologies. bought new mbp (non retina) , first thing did put ssd old macbook in. started having problems. on old system, never had issues running ssd, reason in mbp stutters , lags point it's unusable. have reinstalled osx many times now, , have zero-ed out drive. nothing seems change performance. led believe trim issue. thing getting caught on, however, why did work fine in old macbook without trim support?

old mac- late-2009 macbook unibody.
new mac- late 2012 macbook pro 13".
ssd crucial, unknown model

appreciate help, have spent hours googling , trying figure out. thanks!
 

first check in system report see "negotiated link speed" on ssd....

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
