Few questions about my MBA 13 inch 128gb

i received first macbook christmas , i'm enjoying far, have few questions.

firstly, if buy movies on itunes don't want store them on mba, best way store them? can use external hard drive? same songs, don't want have bunch of media on laptop did last 1 because slowed down much, best putting on external hard drive?

you sd card pny storedge or transcend jetdrive lite, , store on there.
