hi,
have macbook late 2009. installed new ssd in place of superdrive & problems began. installed fresh copy of yosemite & ran bootcamp install windows 7.
bootcamp not seem recognize windows 7 usb installation media & mentions "the installer disc not found".
there solution issue or have reinstall superdrive bootcamp working. worst part not have torsion screwdrivers reason bit hesitant go it.
kindly advice.
p.s. have downloaded windows support files on usb through bootcamp. following work: 1. create exfat partition windows manually 2. try boot through windows 7 usb (read somewhere force booting through usb not work. not sure whether true or not) 3. install bootcamp drivers on usb
?? inputs required.
other threads on this. here recent one, , another.
bottom line, put superdrive back, or use parallels or vm ware (my recommendation).
there few people have managed install external usb using complex refit based methods, not fainthearted.
