Why is iMac so much more expensive in Europe?

+16gb ram
+512gb ssd
us$3,272 incl. tax in ca
in europe live same config costs € 3.129 incl. tax = $3,890
edit: difference 7x higher current big mac index euro area.
the main reason europeans being ripped off. that's bottom line. many goods , services, market enormous , competitive corporations cut costs bone in , compensate overcharging in other regions. apple doubtless protest @ allegation , come sorts of excuses tax , labour costs, that's largely cover , there's no getting away fact being ripped off.
it's not as might think - tax big factor too. $3,272 before state taxes $3,072. add in vat @ 20% , $3,686. that's not million miles away actual price quote, $3,890. apple ripping off $200. can blame our socialist governments other $400 vat rip off!
