SLI GTX 970 a possibility?

i found gtx 970 @ local micro center , decided give shot. swapped r9 280x out gtx 970 has same 6pin , 8pin power plugs. works latest web driver expected reports in other gtx 970/980 thread.

got me intrigued tdp rating of 145w on gtx 970 gpu. went ahead , use adapter draw power booster connector 6pin , 8pin power plugs. works same way , sees no drop in performance.

don't have neither free pcie slot nor second gtx 970 @ moment. hunch sli gtx 970 setup internal power supply possible. tried yet?

can imagine performance boost? :eek:
 

does osx or omp chipset support sli? beside sli isn't required cuda support multiple gpu without sli bridge.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
