Mark Gurman talks Watch

• there dedicated team inside apple working on watch. poached ios , mac engineers they're dedicated watch. they've hired lot of people onto team.
• gurman surprised @ how customization available via companion app. said apple went "all out" first generation waiting release until out @ once. says new product built ground up. says doesn't product took 2-3 years build looks took longer (and have had used iphone resources).
• gurman thinks heart rate sensor more accurate other wearables on market. says unprecedented in industry how work apple put sensor. gives impression apple isn't going throw bunch of sensors device (ala microsoft band) whether they're accurate or not. guess we'll more sensors on time when apple can guarantee high level of accuracy.
• apple having lots of issues battery life. inductive charger supposed plastic switched metal. had problems how long battery last on charge , how long took charge device. hope able solve these issues time device released.
• gurman thinks there event launch watch there's apple didn't talk @ september event. thinks apple use event have 3rd party developers talk they've developed watch. mac observer posted rumor possible homekit launch soon. perhaps apple tie watch event.

know there lot of skeptics , device may not run away hit right away have feeling device going more impressive people think.

 

everytime when apple launches new, says failure. happened ipod, iphone , of course it's happening apple watch.
getting 1 on day one. wish knew when available here in germany.
