I had exploded a pixel on 2012 (1st gen) retina.

my warranty ran out last december (i bought on 19th december 2012), didn't have extended warranties , applecare dodgy live (i'd need use germany or whatever). under european "consumer protection law" regardless of warranty manufacturer responsible manufacturing flaws happen no user fault. got covered , got brand new screen, , in time, 9 days later , wouldn't.

i'm typing on retina brand new screen / lid!

happy , satisfied apple, loving retina :)

oh , curious, had samsung screen exploded one, , new 1 lg 2nd revision (actually 2013 screen!)
 

good deal, sounds got replacement in time! 1 last long time , provide enjoyable experience. :)

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
