Apple Releases New iTunes 12 Beta for OS X Yosemite

apple today released new version of itunes 12 beta both developers , os x yosemite beta testers, following monday's release of yosemite golden master candidate , fourth public beta.

first introduced in july, itunes 12 includes "elegant new design" includes support several ios 8/yosemite features, including family sharing. apple has released 3 itunes beta updates far, fixing small bugs , other issues. newest beta includes new top bar icons in preferences ios-style design , stoplight buttons have been moved center.

itunes 12 includes improved playlists, redesigned info window, , new icon. both itunes 12 , os x yosemite remain in beta testing phase, though public release software expected in october.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
