Can't repartition after remove rEFIt
i have late 2008 macbook pro 320 gigabyte hard drive. when got system had use refit boot loader triple boot between mac os x 10.6, fedora linux 12, , windows 7 (all 64-bit operating systems). divided hard disk evenly between 3 systems.
has been while, don’t remember happened, believe @ point wanted upgrade version of fedora, , installation program not boot on machine or something, , somehow installation of fedora got messed up, , never used again.
later upgraded mac os x 10.7. don’t know if upgrade screwed up, after not able boot windows more. think starting windows screen , error happen.
continued use system running mac os x (i’m running os x 10.10) , had been fine, find running little low on disk space, , reclaim had allocated other operating systems.
watched video on how remove refit , redo system 1 partition. have removed refit, have been unable regain partition space. video watch showed using disk utility delete partitions linux , windows , recombine 1 partition.
when went use disk utility, found instead of 3 partitions, had two. first partition seemed combination of macintosh , linux partitions, still using space allocated mac os x. second partition windows.
deleted windows partition, when go try , create single partition, process fails output disk utility:
what can done allow me system has single partition uses available disk space?
i'd backup data , maybe try gparted see if repartition drive.
