Isn't a base 2014 11" MacBook Air better than the new base 2014 Mac Mini?

spec-wise, have same processor , ram. i'd prefer have ssd drive inside machine os , external larger hard drive media files. figure add internal ssd mac mini costs same external usb drive macbook air.

ultimately, if choosing between base model of each, while mba costs $269 more apple (via refurb site), built-in screen, keyboard , trackpad. , portability. while many of may have existing peripherals use, need buy items , can add difference.

anyway, elimination of user upgradeable ram, isn't base 2014 mac mini complete dud? i'd think choice find cheap 2012 mac mini or base 2014 11" mba.
 

the base air costs $400 more. can't compare new refurb. sure, that's fair comparison if you're looking buy *today* yourself, if you're trying objectively compare mini air, need compare apples apples.

also, yes, air's 128gb ssd drive going give better performance mini's 500gb spinning drive, lot of people buy minis buy them htpcs or servers , added disk space of mini's 500gb drive advantage there.

personally, it's been 10 years since i've ever wanted non-laptop primary computer. if don't own laptop, should absolutely buy laptop primary computer. if you're looking secondary computer particular purpose, desktop pc makes sense that.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
