Apple TV over Airplay

hello!

have number of issues apple tv 3, using mbpr 15" (late 2013) , iphone 6.

first , foremost, i've been using apple tv exclusively in order stream music speakers computer or smartphone using airplay. apple tv has been connected through either ethernet or wifi, no difference there.

problems follows:
1) when streaming sound (any source) macbook apple tv through airplay, sound tends choppy , laggy, @ irregular intervals. not occur when streaming iphone.

2) [solved] when connecting monitor using hdmi while still leaving speakers connected through optical output, sound quality (any source) goes down '95s laptop quality. unplug hdmi , recovers.

3) apple remote no longer allow me change song using arrow keys, instead hear sound of browsing through menu.

4) apple tv goes in sleep mode while streaming, @ seemingly random occasions.


i've tried enlightening myself through google, little luck. these issues have been there since time of purchase. have used both 10.9 , 10.10 on macbook since.

ideas? please ask if need further details. :)

edit: found main problem already. apple tv streaming sound both monitor , speakers, monitor standing in front of speakers it's '95 laptop style speakers making sound horrible. doh :)
 

3. if you're using airplay sound output on mac, won't able control songs remote. works when sending directly itunes since there active program send commands to, whole system audio can't figure out.
---to fix @ airfoil lets pick 1 program send audio that. airfoil has apple scripting built in, if has pre-bulit controls lot of popular 3rd party sound apps (like rdio or musicbox (for pandora)) , if it's not supported, if you're familiar applescript can pretty implement own controls.
*one small note, sound delayed couple seconds, won't work sending audio needs match video.

#1 - happen when sending itunes, or if use airplay sound output.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac give...

Unable to connect to wifi - 10.6.8

my isp forced me buy 3.0 docsis modem, once installed had reset router well. mb pro connected newly setup network fine 30 min. stopped working after having configured network security. issue has nothing network security, allow me explain... when select neighbors locked network, click connect , guess @ password, computer returns "invalid password". when same on own network connected to, says "connection failed". tells me has storage of information network had connected since implementing desired settings network.
