iPhone + iTunes Fail
it's canadian thanksgiving , i've travelled place parents' place iphone 6. trip back, want transfer couple of tv episodes i've downloaded on parents' macbook air onto iphone can watch them on transit.
iphone's home sync computer own macbook. when connect parents' mba, it's asking me erase , sync itunes able transfer these 2 tv episodes. apple serious? want erase apps, music, photos, etc...?
why keep putting , supporting ****?
if veteran users have alternative solutions please let me know. it's laughable have jump through hoops content want onto device.
apple: playing these games customers not smart business strategy, more , more competition.
this drives me insane well, behavior has been around since initial iphone. goes fact apple itunes used drm protect media downloaded. idea couldn't connect iphone friends computer , load had on onto device, circumventing licenses. now, itunes music not drm protected, i'm pretty sure video files still (or @ least rentals are), , don't want 1 person pay , share know. understand they're trying protect licenses, super annoying. used come when bought new laptop , new 1 didn't have old music. bit bullet , had lose of older albums had sync new computer.
(this 1 of biggest reasons hesitant move apple ecosystem. on android devices have access file system , can connect , drag , drop whatever want. in end, had enough invested in apple made sense, i'm still not happy it.)
in terms of actual solutions, don't know format shows you've downloaded in, potentially upload them dropbox , download them on device marking them favorites offline viewing.
