How is the iPhone 6 camera 8 MP yet so good?

you see these crazy mega pixels these days (up 41 mp on nokia think) , 16 mp on samsungs , stuff, yet how come iphone 4s, iphone 5, iphone 5s, , iphone 6 have 8 mp camera only?

fair, had blackberry q10 while , iphone 6 camera blows out of water. blackberry, it's matter of a) being really still , not move while taking photo , b) matter of luck crisp picture. iphone 6, feel no matter how sloppy tend , not focus on stabilizing myself much, takes great pictures every time.

correct when tell people megapixels mean image better when printed on huge paper @ end of day, it's lens?
