Apple Launches New 'Games for Kids' App Store Feature

apple on saturday announced via twitter re-launch of sorts section of app store aimed @ children's apps. apple rolled out kids category in 2013, new feature offers more tailored @ games designed various age ranges.

the storefront's first showcase product ebook, "family time apps," hopes "show parents how find best apps fit child's needs, provide tips on how (and why!) use apps together, , highlight more resources make process of selecting apps less overwhelming , more fun."

below section subdivided 3 main categories, specifying age ranges array of apps: "ages 5 & under", "ages 6-8", , "ages 9-11." lower age categories include games focusing on colors , shapes, basic interactive storybooks, while higher age groups include more complex experiences platformers , physics puzzlers.

elsewhere in app store, new "games kids" section helps users understand games free , may require further payments, "free" games prompting users "get" button, , apps in-app purchases being designated underneath. new "games kids" area of app store comes on heels of service's announcement of hugely successful 2014 has carried on record-breaking sales in new year.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
