Random spontaneous reboots MacPro 1,1 with Yosemite

argghh, random reboots driving me crazy.
started couple of days ago on macpro 1,1 flashed 2,1 running yosemite pike's boot.efi file.
didn't change or install new software, , temperatures within specs according temperature monitor.

console isn't whole lot of there no kernel panic, reboot out of blue time time.
crash reports these discoveryd crashes :

nov 28 23:01:13.827512 localhost discoveryd_helper[166]: basic remotecontrol com.apple.discoveryd_helper starting xpc server
nov 28 23:01:13.828290 localhost discoveryd_helper[166]: detailed remotecontrol com.apple.discoveryd_helper xpc connection 0x7fc9829002c0: start (pid=51, <unknown> not root)

not sure if symptom (because of spontaneous reboot) or part of cause.
run hours , hours, other times (as can see below) reboot 3 or 4 times in 30 minutes.

strange thing can see console previous shutdown codes.

11/28/14 10:48:54.000 pm kernel[0]: previous shutdown cause: 0
11/28/14 10:52:39.000 pm kernel[0]: previous shutdown cause: 5
11/28/14 11:01:12.000 pm kernel[0]: previous shutdown cause: 0
11/28/14 11:27:02.000 pm kernel[0]: previous shutdown cause: 0

seem randomly change between code of 5 (which seems normal shutdown finder menu), , 0 (which seems loss of mains power).

have tried following things without success :

- have zapped pram, , reset smc.
- reloaded 10.10, , upgraded 10.10.1.
- tried running outlet, , bypassing surge suppressor.
- reinstalled original 5150 chips.
- put original video card in, unplugged except keyboard , monitor, , removed 3rd party ram.

still got random spontaneous reboots.

while running aht original install cds passed first time, rebooted second time, , passed again 3rd time.
@ point totally ruled out software, , i'm thinking maybe power supply starting flaky due previous shutdown of 0.

has else here experienced similar ?
there else should checking before start looking power supply ?

appreciated, in advance.

wow, i've re-read last post, and seems little rambling , disjointed.
sorry, typed out between unexpected reboots every 10 minutes, while trying out door last friday (it kind of week).

i'm in front of mac, , have had little more time @ things.
can keep machine running (it's been running couple of hours now, including running memtest hour), if pull memory bottom riser card.

not seem matter riser card put in slot (i have tried swapping them) or of 8 dimm modules put in upper riser.
thing seems consistent if try use more 4 of memory modules, machine spontaneously reboots every 10-15 minutes.

because of load on power supply ?
know these dimms use lot of power, possible more 4 dimms drawing power enough make supply punt ?

or there on logic board has bottom riser card slot ?
i'm thinking between psu or logic board, i'm not sure bother fixing machine if logic board.

advice appreciated, don't want shell out cash new power supply, if there else may causing this.
thanks.
