2014 Mini v. 2014 MBA?

i looking update 2011 11" mba, hooked 24" acd , leaves desk. because use ipad when travelling, going 2014 mini, because have acd , apple bt keyboard , trackpad. computing needs such i'm going 2014 mini on 2012 mini. i'm trying figure out whether significant improvement on current 11" mba, , i'm hoping next computer lasts 5+ years.

when configure both max ram (8gb mba , 16gb mini) , 512gb ssd, pricing between 2 same. obviously, mini has more ram, other big differences seem connectivity (2-tb2 v 1-tb, 4-usb3 v. 2-usb3, ethernet (would never use) , hdmi (wouldn't need acd)) , faster cpu (but have no idea because of turbo boosts). doesn't seem mini upgrade 3.0 i7 worth on 2.8 i5, if extend life of mini, i'd it. don't need 4k or 5k resolution. if acd dies, i'd refurb tb display.

if 2014 11" mba maxed out perform same 2014 mini maxed out, no reason have occasional portability mba.

thoughts on better choice? in advance!
 

if order mini fusion, can crack open (just need torx tp6 security bit) , have set install
1) 1 apple proprietary pcie stick of liking (ebay)
2) 1 2.5" hdd/ssd of liking

@ time like, years now. can't (number 2) on air.

, yes go 16gb ram future proofing. can't on air.

plus lot of ports , 2 tb2. air has 0 tb ports after mere gige adapter installed (although usb3.0-to-gige possibility), mini has real gige , still 2 free tb ports. that's abyss in terms connectivity. i'll use hdmi output video , gige networking, , still have 2 free tb2 ports, that's huge.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
