2010 MacBook Pro 13" Need Repairs

i have 2010 macbook pro 13" has suffered liquid damage. indications point logic board has been fried. i'd machine repaired, have no idea take/send it.

suggestions repair facility doesn't cost arm , leg? better shop in hartford, ct area. however, not averse having shipped out.
 

you'll need send apple authorized repair center, or decide yourself.

cost, think exceed worth of computer , may better off biting bullet , getting new[er] model.

may want consider perhaps doing repair , buying used logic board on ebay.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
