Considering moving away from Outlook

so, i've used outlook 14 years. i'm pretty instantiated in program. have switched windows box 15" rmbp , loving it. have office 2011, haven't got outlook '11 , running yet..still using windows box of that, have pim (contacts, calendar, tasks, notes) in icloud, i'm functioning. mac mail app also.

there program use works better in mac outlook. how os 10.10 , ios 8.1 interplay developing , want take full advantage , not bogged down in vestigial office suite.

thoughts? input?
 

i use thunderbird lightning, provider google calendar, , google contacts add-ons. because consistent across multiple platforms.

setting calendar , contact syncing easier google. if don't use thunderbird. use google syncing services. has wider range of compatibility icloud.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac give...

Unable to connect to wifi - 10.6.8

my isp forced me buy 3.0 docsis modem, once installed had reset router well. mb pro connected newly setup network fine 30 min. stopped working after having configured network security. issue has nothing network security, allow me explain... when select neighbors locked network, click connect , guess @ password, computer returns "invalid password". when same on own network connected to, says "connection failed". tells me has storage of information network had connected since implementing desired settings network.
