Long Term Problems

i'm not sure why i'm posting this. guess i'd find like-minded people on here. people have have been apple fans years feeling bit jaded. think core of problem starts services, why i'm posting in forum.

highly doubt 1 thing bring down apple. if had guess, services.

i'm talking long-term here. knows google @ services. people overlook how microsoft becoming @ services. hear nothing things azure platform (which has begun powering many ios app backends since icloud glitchy), , seem expanding @ rapid pace new areas of technology related services. satya nadella said envisions windows service. not sure if that's going work, feel context they're starting apple-like continuity approach using skype , 1 drive.

don't think in 10 years apple obsolete. do, however, worry role in technology industry or diminished because can't keep services. lately feel they're starting right ship. siri speed improvements prime example. it's not yet enough. many have said, google , microsoft getting better @ design faster apple getting better @ services. , many apple bloggers have lately been pointing out, feels each recent apple software release buggier last. apple needs take year off of grinding out feature-laden software updates , shore have. focus on services , bug fixing. optimize , streamline top bottom. heck, take 2 years. want stability back. redesigned of yosemite , ios 7+, miss stability of snow leopard , ios 6.

it's not services haven't gotten better. it's they're not getting better fast enough—and each new feature comes riddled bugs. combined gradual decline in quality of hardware components , reliability of software, , spells trouble. hardware design still pretty fantastic. maybe i'm extremely unlucky purchases last few years. 1 bright spot me has been ipad air 2. isn't compatible many bluetooth drawing pens, frustrating me bought adobe's ink summer sketching , apple never mentioned there problems new touch technology.

i agree, apple's services have been sore spot me in past. however, haven't had recent issues can think of. feels things have gotten better ever have been in apple's cloud. full two-step auth step in right direction show committed cloud security. imessage runs reliably me these days, , service handles staggering amount of data. same goes push messages ios devices, itunes downloading/streaming, etc. additionally, have heard variety of sources new cloudkit services ios 8 far better original, problematic core data syncing scheme. major complaint had issues few years spam filtering , false-positive silent filtering on icloud (then mobileme) email necessitated switching gmail. have new icloud email address gets mail forwarded gmail, , works well.

sure, google, fb, amazon, microsoft, , others offer more robust cloud services greater variety of uses, don't think that's apple should try compete with. apple's cloud more of complement software/hardware platforms increase value consumer , retain control on "full" user experience standalone cloud product app engine or s3 or azure or have you.
