Google Adding 'Word Lens' Camera Translation and Conversation Mode to Translate App

google today announced forthcoming update google translate app ios bring instant camera-based translation , automatic language recognition apple's mobile devices. google's first update translation app in year.

the updated translation app improves upon current text recognition feature incorporating real-time translation technology google acquired word lens last year. instead of capturing photo translation, users can point phones @ signs, menus , other text , view overlays containing translated phrases.

@ launch, word lens feature support limited number of languages (english , french, german, italian, portuguese, russian , spanish) additional languages expected in future. work when there no available internet connection.

google has added new real-time conversation mode available first time on ios platform. incorporated android, real-time mode improves flow of conversation automatically detecting languages being used participants. once language identification complete, users can speak @ natural pace without needing tap mic between each side of conversation.

word lens blew me away first time saw in action. it's vision of future. imagine glasses being able in front of eyes.

Error installing Key Agent drivers in Windows 7

i reinstalled fresh bootcamp (windows 7 x64) on imac running yosemite. i'm having difficulty installing drivers, had first bypass issue x64bit drivers running through cmd admin errors "service 'key agent/mac hal' (keyagent/machaldrivers) failed start. verify have sufficient privileges start system services." have tried following instructions seemed answer this: i had exact same problem, on 17" mbp. in case, win7 event manager reported bootcamp 3.2 services failed install, in particular keyagent service (and without no apple keyboard , functions , apparently bootcamp icon doesn't show in system tray). event manager said bootcamp installer did not have sufficient permissions, went dial down user account control (uac) settings (in fact, turned off). should have seen when bootcamp 3.2 update running window ask permission continue (allow software install). instead, there silent failure. ok, turning off uac gives p
