Home Network Set Up Help

hello,

have bunch of apple components , looking "best" set build on current home network.

here current set up:

time capsule (2012) set wifi router
macbook (2008ish) using lion w/ 500gb hd + max on ram using itunes, photos, videos , internet (4 kids, have alot of videos , photos)
apple tv (we dont have cable live off , mirroring macbook channels w/out apple tv app)
printer on wifi
2 internal hds in cases use them external hds storage of videos
2 iphones + ipad + ipod

time machine backs macbook timecapsule, , there nothing else on timecapsule hd.

in market imac (probably going 21.5" w/ 1tb refurbished section of apple store)

want move on imac, put video library on sshd or hybrid hd , connect imac. use current macbook internet create network allow me access video or photo files on imac or external hd

imac going sit literally next time capsule might make sense connect on lan vs wifi save on wifi capacity?

big questions is...can done imac out of box? best way wire or configure up?

end of day going 100% reliant on apple hoping devices talk each other , synched up. , new imac i'll able run latest osx , enjoy devices fullest (until next year when newer comes out)
