Boot Time?

i have mac mini i5 2.3 intergrated graphics 8gb ram 500gb hd 2011.

have partitioned in 2 (on 10.7 , 1 10.9). need 10.7 printer can't remove it.

anyhow 10.9 boots internal in 59 seconds. , got external hard drive bestbuy today 50 bucks. toshiba 1tb usb 3.0/2.0. unless kanex thunderbolt usb 3.0 adapter (cuz 2011 no usb 3.0) slow. takes 2 minutes fresh install of yosemite. not install. mean boot time. twice slow. try usb 3 docks , adapters soon.

curious think of yosemite. how long take on systems boot. shutoff , press power button , time it.

internal or external doesn't matter. i'd hear either or both. , if had usb 3.0 interesting see how fast boots.

 

i backed internal , erased it. installed yosemite on internal. no partitions. yosemite.

works great. boots in 43 seconds. , 10.9 used boot in 59 seconds. verdict yosemite faster.

, others on external slower now. cares. yosemite awesome. others won't used anyway. except print.

maybe time new printer. cuz samsung ml-2510 works 10.7 , no 8, 9, or 10.

or can try others , see first. don't use anyway.
