iPad 12.9" iPad Pro: what is the point of this device?

can tell me outside of niche use cases needs 13" touchscreen canvas, point of ipad pro? don't see point of owning 1 average consumer. big hold in hands comfortably long periods of time , ios never come close replacing desktop operating system due inherent disadvantages. makes more sense have regular ipad consumption , macbook more productive work. think ipad pro sell in fewer quantities regular-sized pad air.
 

i prefer having macbook air retina display full keyboard. have enjoyed air 2 past few weeks , fills perfect void between iphone 6 , pc desktop.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
