Some Drives showing Mavericks Icons

hi everyone.

i've searched around forums , seems unique me apologies if it's been posted.

i'm running mid 2011 imac 12gb ram. running fine on mavericks , did standard upgrade install through app store.

yosemite , itunes unusable. laggy. constant crashes. etc.

data in dropbox or on external drives went , did hard disk wipe , clean install. works beautifully now.

have 4 external hard disks. 2 of them have new flatter yosemite icons. , other 2 have old macericks icons. annoying. restarting , mounting , remounting has no effect. drives in question still show old icons.

know can find or download new icon , change manually i'm concerned may indicate problem hard drives?

else experience or have explanation?

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
