Upgrade to 15" rMBP?

i use laptop exclusively process d800e files in both lr 5 , ps cs6. use light internet browsing, use ipad mini , iphone.

have 13" rmbp 2.5ghz 128gb flash storage , 8gb of ram. i'm looking @ 15" rmbp 16gb of ram , 256 flash storage. more ram processing d800e raw files, bigger screen real estate me out when i'm using lr , ps.

portability isn't issue since take rmbp in different rooms in house. don't process on go or that.

b&h running pretty deal on 15" currently, i'm thinking pulling trigger real soon.

of use lr , ps photo editing, worth go 13" 15"?
 

from gather you're interested in 2 things : additional screen real estate, , additional ram.

if portability isn't issue extent final editing in 1 room, have thought buying dedicated monitor ? it's more of upgrade else really. copy of ips retina screen lot less optimal photo editing dedicated display nec or eizo. , there less great copies pretty awful white point, luminance , contrast homogeneity.

, if you're interested in memory, perhaps purchasing 13" 16gb of ram sufficient ?

used have 15" mbp , indeed additional real estate quite enjoyable photo editing, prefer 13" laptop + external display setup.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
