How to Enable Dark Mode Icon for Google Drive in Yosemite


some mac apps have not yet released support dark mode menubar in yosemite. google drive 1 of these apps. here temporary fix. if plan on using dark mode, here instructions.

1. find google drive in applications folder
2. right click on it
3. select "show package contents"
4. go "contents"
5. go "resources"
6. scroll down , find files called: mac-normal.png, mac-normal@2x.png, mac-normal-inverse.png, mac-normal-inverse@2x.png. these files want replace.
7. click on icon in menubar , quit before go further.
8. can either swap names between normal images , inverse images, or drop attached files resources folder , replace these images. dragging files in zip folder easier, choice.

examples
replace mac-normal.png mac-normal-inverse.png
replace mac-normal@2x.png mac-normal-inverse@2x.png
replace mac-normal-inverse.png mac-normal.png
replace mac-normal-inverse@2x.png mac-normal@2x.png

9. once change image names or insert attached files, can start google drive. take couple of seconds computer update icons.
