my macbook pro stolen few days ago, , seeing t used late 2011 model, data being secure more important me getting computer back, locked had display message , selected have erased.

got email saying erase had been initiated. have never used function before, have few questions it.

1. can hold power button down , force shut down , prevent erasing?

2. after erase, mbp still locked or can use clean mbp , message had displayed still displayed?

3. had windows 7 installed via bootcamp, partition erased well?

4. there else can now?

info folks might have!

apparently, if mbp taken offline before erase completed, stays uncompleted until mbp online again.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
