Can A Phablet Replace A Tablet?

i'm considering replacing nexus 7 & aging iphone nexus 6 (it seems i'll have quite bit of time figure out @ rate release going :p). seems i'd losing inch of screen real estate added benefit of turning 2 devices one.

has had experience phablet? i'm not super power user. have laptop more intensive things , use tablet check facebook , feedly , watch youtube videos because iphone screen small. imagine 6" screen bridge gap. concern portability doesn't seem issue many people.
 

i've replaced phablet phone &tablet combo.
have oneplus one.

it's okay, battery life being good. have bigger screen. i'm looking @ new tablet christmas.

can totally live without tablet. it's fine , you'll have less things worry about.

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
