iMac mid 2010 Hot

hey all,

have 27in mid 2010 imac seems run hot. has not turned off due heat top of imac front , hot. hot touch. when have been using machine 2 hours or seems slow down. thought check out fan utility , downloaded smcfan control. smc shows cpu running @ 83c 1 youtube video running , site open, cpu fan rpm's @ 0 normal? not seem right me thought ask community.

cpu - 2.93 ghz core i7
gpu - ati radeon hd 5750
ram - 12gb
hd1 - 240 owc ssd custom installed in 2011
hd2 - 1tb stock apple hd
odd - apple super drive
os - yosemite beta

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
