How to add contact in IOS8?

i have ipod touch 5th ios8 update. trying keep ipod clean , not link contacts in icloud.

after looking , looking, cant find way add way add contact in contacts. no plus sign appears in contacts @ top of screen.

way have been able add contact imessage or facetime ipod , add contact.

there missing?
 

open contacts app > select + in upper right corner.

eta: glossed right on "no plus sign appears in contacts @ top of screen."

New 2014 Mac Mini as living room media unit... general questions :)

hi everyone, relatively new apple world (came on android/windows) can impressed , happy made switch hoping insight experts here new setup. got new 2014 mini our living room media unit (will playing music, netflix, movies, internet browsing etc) - havent hooked yet. have 2 bookshelf speakers, 1 sub woofer, , center speaker sound setup goes avr, , of course flat screen tv. 1) question -- mini support 2.1 sound via hdmi avr? losing audio quality or audio features using mac mini? 2) internet browsing, there app or interface make ui better fit living room tv? i've read font/icons can hard read if enlarge them because mac mini not meant big tv? 3) plan plex server , plex media player mac mini, other loading movie/tv collection , playing off tv, there else cool missing here can this? 4) if have mac mini media unit, there purpose in owning roku @ point? thank you!!   ...
