500gb to toshiba external drive not recognized

500gb toshiba external drive not recognized on imac 5k, on laptop can see not in imac, on bootcamp windows 8.1. called apple customer care couldn't make recognize. format drive , in ntfs , exfat32. if put usb stick on sub slot on imac recognized.
 

does show in disk utility? when plug in can feel hdd spinning in enclosure?
