i went apple store service in-person yesterday first time ever. iphone 5 battery going downhill fast after ios8, decided make appointment , see if can battery replacement.
gotta say, pretty amazed experience first hand process in apple gets signed in , escorted genius. done in orderly fashion. genius got extremely patient , accommodating questions , responded respectful tone you'd see @ five-star hotel (well non-pretentious ones). pointed out there replacement program out there select number of iphone 5 models , proceeded check serial number , performed diagnostic. after seeing mine eligible (i knew since checked online beforehand), told me battery replaced free of charge day , need 1.5 hours work. came 2 hours later , received newly energized iphone 5 without hitch.
level of service , orderly nature of apple retail store in stark contrast experience @ verizon, best buy mobile, , tmobile store.
